Rumors about the largest EDM festival keep circling around the city
After the confirmation that Dimensions and Outlook festival are leaving Pula, rumors about new festivals in the city keep circling within the festival community. For over a decade organizers of Outlook and Dimensions managed to bring dozens of world-class names of EDM, hip-hop and reggae music. Now there is a question which festival is gonna succeed them, and take over the attractive locations in Pula. Despite the opposition by the locals and the lack of financial support, organizers manage to arrange the events professionally each year.
However, several unofficial pieces of information keep popping up in Pula. Some of them say that Tomorrowland, the largest music festival in the world, along with Ultra Europe, are coming to Pula. Because of the size of these festivals, pretty soon we will know if these rumors are true or not. Tomorrowland is the biggest dance & techno festival in the world. The first edition took place in 2005, in Boom village near Antwerpen, Belgium. Most of the artists at Tomorrowland already performed in Croatia, such as Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Avicii and Afrojack. Two years ago 400.000 people attended the festival, which is popular for its mega stage and visual effects. Tomorrowland is regularly placed on the top 10 lists of the best world festivals.
Not to all be left to the rumors, manager of Istria Tourist Board Denis Ivosevic confirmed the existence of this story. He emphasized the optimism about Tomorrowland coming to Pula. However, there is no official confirmation that the biggest festival spectacle will definitely come to the city. If that happens though, it would bring Pula back on the map of the best festival destinations. Denis added that Pula will definitely host some festival, be it Tomorrowland or other.
