Sleaford Mods Confirmed For InMusic 2022

Sleaford Mods, a highly respected British post-punk duo is coming to Croatia. The group will have their debut performance in front of the Croatian audience, at the InMusic #15.

Minimalistic and brutal is the synopsis of the music created by the Sleaford Mods. The band was founded in 2007, in Nottingham, and is fronted by politically oriented frontman Jason Williamson. The first five Sleaford Mods albums were published in cooperation with fellow musician and producer Simon Parfrement. In 2009, Simon introduced Williamson with Andre Fearn, who soon after became a second part of the duo.

The music of Sleaford Mods is focused on the daily lives of the British middle class. Steady but slowly, the band garnered more attention in 2014, with their 7th studio album called Divide and Exit. The songs on the album are filled with intelligent lyrics, accompanied by minimalistic music background. The angry British duo soon became the voice of the working class, for which they create “minimalistic electro-hop noise”.

After cooperation with The Prodigy and Leftifield, in 2016 Sleaford Mods signed a contract with the cult Rough Trade Records. A year later they release English Tapas, a critically acclaimed ninth studio album. The album is filled with Brexit-related lyrics, criticizing the UK government. The band does not hold back in criticizing country leaders. In 2019, Sleaford Mods release the equally ruthless and minimalistic album Eton Alive. Faced with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the band kept their creative juices flowing, and released the 11th studio album called Spare Ribs, in January 2021.

Sleaford Mods are joining already announced names for InMusic 2022, which includes The Killers, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Deftones, Kasabian, Royal Blood, IDLES, White Lies, Fontaines D.C., Gogol Bordello, Amadou & Mariam, Hinds, and more.

For the first time, the festival will take place over four days. Festival tickets are on sale at the official festival website.
